Carl Nielsen Masterclass was established in 2005. Each year, 40-60 young talented musicians in the ages of 15-25 gather in the autumn holiday to play classical music in orchestra, chamber music and as solo master classes. The Funen composer Carl Nielsen is of course part of the repertoire. The participants stem from all over the country, from music foundation courses to the music conservatories. Furthermore, we have established a collaboration with international music conservatories such as for example the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Xing Hai Conservatory in Guangzhou, China. Through the collaboration with ESTA (The European String Teachers Association) we also have participants from Russian, Baltic and Finnish conservatories and advanced schools of music. During the last couple of years, we have also arranged Carl Nielsen Masterclasses abroad. In 2011 we visited Guangzhou, China and in 2015 we are arranging a Carl Nielsen Masterclass in Vilnius, Lithuania. Find us on facebook! Here you will be able to find more pictures as well as contact with other participants!
